A Rockefeller Christmas Tree!!!

Sunday, Tim and I were both off so I thought it would be a good time to decorate the tree. We set up our old 7.5 ft tree but since we have 9ft ceilings in our house I told Tim that the tree looked so short. I was joking with him and told him that we should get a taller one. Then the next thing that I know we are at Stein's looking at trees and if you know Tim and I we just don't look. We ended up finding a new tree........

The tree just fits and it a lot bigger than our old one. The tree has 1,250 lights. It looks huge in the living room and Jersey likes it because she has more room to lay under it. I guess more room for presents for Ella :)

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope that everyone had a great turkey day and a good black Friday shopping day. Here is a 25 week belly picture. She is moving around like crazy. Last night was the first time that she woke me up from a deep sleep because she was not only kicking but punching me as well. That is Tim's daughter for you.

A very generous friend!!!

This weekend will be my last one off for a while probably until my baby shower in January. I guess one of the joys of working retail. I took advantage of the warm weather and did some outside Christmas decorating and cleaned out some of the closets in the house. I feel that I had a productive weekend off. Mom and baby are doing well, I'm feeling great, except my feet hurt after 9 hours of being on them at work. If that is the only thing I will take it. Ella(yes we have decided on her name) is a very active baby, especially at night. I love that I can feel her moving around and Tim got to feel her kick. He finds it funny to talk to her and say "Ella, kick mamma" and it is funny that she will usually responds to his voice. We got a very generous surprise from one of my sister's good friend last week. She has a daughter that just turned 2 and no longer had the need for all of her baby items, so my sister called me and asked if I wanted anything. Well when you see these pictures we got a ton of great things. A lot of these items will be used at the grandparents houses as extras. I want to send a special thanks to Christine and Cora for all the great things we got. Here are some pictures.

These are most of the clothes anywhere from newborn to 6 months. Most of her drawers are full already.

The swing, bouncer and saucer will go to the grandparents house since they will be doing a lot of babysitting for us.

These are some cute dresses that still have the tags on them.

On top of everything that is in the pictures, we also got a bottle warmer, bottle sanitizer, an extra diaper bag, baby bjorn, car seat and base(grandma has it in her car already) and some great newborn toys and mirrors.

These are a few things that Grandma Joy picked up for Ella.

Our good friends, Andy and Rachel got her these cute Brewer oneies. Jersey always needs to be included. Ella will look great sporting these at her Brewer games this summer.

And here are some updated pictures of her bedding, because the ones I took last time made the color of her bedding look bad. Tim said I needed to post new ones.

An early trip to the hopsital

When I was at work yesterday, I slipped on some water in the mall and fell on my butt. I did call the doctor even though I felt fine, just a little sore, but I knew that Tim would want me to call. After about an hour the nurse called me back and to my surprise she said that labor and delivery was expecting me. The nurse had said that because I was this far along in the pregnancy that I would have to be monitored for 3-4 hours. I thought that the nurse would say take some Tylenol and get off my feet. When we arrived the put me on a contraction and fetal monitor, but because our little girl is so active the nurse had a hard time keeping her on the monitor. We know that she will be true Daddy's girl because every time Tim would talk she would start to move, the nurse was laughing because she was so active and the monitor was loud when she was kicking that we couldn't hear her heartbeat. We only had to stay for about an hour and the doctor said that we were both fine. Mom and baby are doing good. Not only did we have the trip the hospital, but it was Tim's first day at his new job......what an eventful day for him. We are both so excited that Tim is now working for Kohl's department store. He is on day 2 and loves it so far....I will love the discount :) I will post more soon...I have some new additions to her room.

We Got Her Bedding!!!

If you know me, you know that I wouldn't just stop with the few outfits. Tim and I had an idea of what we wanted for each sex of the baby, so this was easy. Here are a few pictures. I will keep you updated as we add more.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

What an exciting day. We found out that we are having a girl today. Tim realized that is is going to broke for the rest of his life and needs to start saving his money. It feels so good to say "her" now, to know that we have our precious little girl. It think even more excited than we were today was the grandma's. We thought it would be a cool experience for our mom's to come to the ultrasound with us today because neither of them have seen one of a grandchild before. When the doctor said it was a girl there was more tears from them then us I think. It meant a lot to Tim and I that they could share in the joy of this day. We were lucky enough that our doctor's office now offers 3D/4D ultrasounds. It was amazing how good the picture was and the movement of her. She is a very active baby, she is 1 pound(67 percentile) and everything looks great and healthy. First thing we were able to tell was the sex, she made it very easy. She was face down for most of the ultrasound so we could not get a full face picture, but we got great side profiles of her. It was amazing that we could see her mouth moving and she yawned(that was so cute). Her arm and hand was up on the side of her face most of the time. Her brain and heart look great and the we could see the movement of her blood through her heart. Her kidneys, spine, bladder and heartbeat were also great. So far we have a healthy baby girl. Here are some picture from today.

This is her upper spine

Her is her face. It is a great look at her mouth, nose, and eyes.

Here is the 1st picture that we got. We are 100%that it is a girl

Here is a picture of her heart rate

This is the 4D picture that we got. This is our precious little girl. This is a great side view of her puckering her cheeks.

Well once I found out it was a girl, I had to do a little shopping and so it begins
How cute is this.

This one is for Tim....I don't think he will be able to say no to her :) Look at the feet...to cute for words.

One More Day!!

Tommorw is our big doctor appointment and we are hoping that we will be able to find out if we are having a boy or girl. I'm really hoping that the baby is in a good position so that it will be easy to tell. I don't know how much sleep I will get tonight with anticipation of tommorw morning. Tim and I are really excited to find out and start the fun of shopping for our little one. We have another new member of our dinner club as well, Tyler John Brenton was born yesterday, so our little one will break the tie. We will see if boys or girls will rule the dinner club. I will post tommorw with the news. Here is a belly picture @ 21 weeks. Have a good night.

A lot of new updates!

Sorry It has been a while since the last update, but we had a lot of new things happen in the past few weeks. Tim and I have been on vacation these last few days so we have been doing a lot of work on the house to get ready for the baby. A couple of weeks ago we had ordered our baby furniture from USA Baby and to our surprise it was ready to be delivered. That did not leave us much time to clear out the nursery and get it painted. We had decided on the color already, we went with a green color on the walls so that if it is boy we can do blue and green and if it is a girl we can do purple, pink, and green. I guess I'm not used to the color, it is a bright green. I said it looks like "key lime pie green" and Tim says it will be "simulating"for the baby. I guess this is a time for change for me so I need to step out of my comfort zone, but I think it will look very cute when we get the bedding in the room. We have it picked out already, it just depends on the sex of the baby, but we will keep that a secret until we buy it and post the pictures. I had a doctor appointment last week and it went good. They got my weight(only gained 3 pounds for far) and the baby's heart rate was 152 bpm. Only 19 more days till the big appointment and then Tim better be ready for the shopping to begin. Oh, not from me but his Mom. Grandma Joy can't wait to start....I know this has been hard for her not to buy anything yet. :) We also had some more excited news on Thursday night....Carrie, Tim's sister got engaged. We are very excited for her and can't wait to welcome Craig into the family. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Love,
Stef and Baby

I did some Halloween decorating outside. Here are a couple of pics Tim took.

Here is a nice picture of the new ceiling fan Tim put in the nursery and you can see the color of the walls.

Here is the baby's new furniture!!!

We will make the the changing table as well. Grandma Joy got the baby the cute monkey "piggy
bank" and started the college fund. Ok, so she did do a little shopping already.

We also plan on putting the glider in the corner in front of the lamp.

Lastly, a new belly picture. This one is at 18 weeks and I do have on my first pair of maternity pants on....even though my old pants still fit, I feel more pregnant in these. :)

14 Week Update!!

I can't believe that I'm already 14 weeks along. It has went by so fast, only 6 months to go. I have been feeling much better these days. It was like a switch went off at 12 weeks and the nausea had stopped but then the headaches started. I'm waiting for the heartburn to start. I went to the doctor today and the heartbeat was strong a 154 bpm. We have a new date for the 20 week visit, we will hopefully know if it is a boy or a girl on October 29th. Even though I have a feeling that it is going to be a boy. Here is my first belly picture. Jersey felt the need to be in the picture, we don't want leave her out.

10 Fingers & 10 Toes

Today I had my first official doctors appointment with Dr. Epperson. We had an ultrasound done and the baby is doing great. She confirmed that I am 10 weeks along and the due date is March 9th give or take. The baby was active from the start it was crazy that at only ten weeks you can see the hands and feet and the movement of the baby. The heartbeat was a strong 174 beats per minute. The doctor said that the baby looks great and it was a "textbook"picture from the ultrasound. That is music to mom and dad's ears. I have my next 3 appointments scheduled every 4 weeks. November 5th is the big 20 week to find out if it a boy or girl. Both Tim and I think that it will be a boy, but who knows. I can still hope for a girl though. Here is the first picture of Baby Blaha.

A new member of our family

As a lot of people know, we did have to put out cat Rabbit to sleep a few weeks ago. We did however adopt a new kitten from the human society. Her name is Jersey like a jersey cow, keeping in the whole animal thing we had going on. She has been a really good kitten so far except for the jumping on a lamp shade, getting into my plant in the kitchen and leaving little dirty paw prints on the floor. Here are some pictures of her.

Is the world ready for a Baby Blaha???

I went to the doctor today and they determined that I'm around 5 weeks. I have my next appointment August 13th. Today we did start to tell the family, we know it is still early but we are so excited. We went to the zoo today with Tim's Mom and she bought the baby it first sea turtle stuffed animal, we knew that would happen :) We have a feeling this baby will be loved by both sets of Grandparents. This baby will be Tim's parents first grandchild and my parents third. Tonight we are going out with the "Dinner Club" so we will make the announcement tonight(unless Mindy already went blog surfing). So far I feel great except for the whole bathroom thing, but I can't expect that to get any better anytime soon.

Could it be.... A baby Blaha on the way

I guess that 3 is a charm. After taking 3 tests to make sure.....I'm pregnant. I have my first doctor appointment on Friday morning for the confirmation, but it looks good so far. Tim and I are so excited.
